NS 039 249. A chambered long cairn lies N-S along a narrow terrace below the summit of Torr on Loisgte, about 150m OD; it is in Forestry Commission plantations. The cairn material has been disturbed over the S half, but a horned forecourt is traceable and one side of the chamber opening onto it. A transverse chamber with corbelling below roofing slabs is clearly visible on the W side, while the N end, on the edge of a steep slope downwards, remains intact. Overall, the cairn measures about 28m x 15m.

NS 0404 2477. A mutilated chambered cairn as described by Fairhurst and measuring 25.0m N-S by 14.0m with a maximum height of 1.5m. There are a number of firmly embedded upright slabs both near the edge and within the body of the cairn but it is not possible to deduce the line of a facade nor the position of the main chamber. The transverse chamber is 2.5m by 0.8m by 0.8m high and is partially stone filled. It has a cover slab 1.2m by 1.2m resting on small side slabs and rough corbelling.
Surveyed at 1:2500.
Visited by OS (B S), 24 November 1977.
