Stane Alane: This stone stands in a turf dyke opposite the N corner of the cemetery wall. It measures 8' x 3'2" x 8", axis NNW, bluntly pointed top.

M Campbell and M Sandeman 1964.

A standing stone as described. The name could not be confirmed. Resurveyed at 1:2500.

NR 8563 8993. A standing stone as described in the previous information. Surveyed at 1/10,000.

Activities

Field Visit (June 1981)

Incorporated in a turf-and-stone dyke 30m N of the wall of Lochgilphead Cemetery, there is a standing stone, which measures 2.45m in height and 1m by 0.28m at ground level, with its longer axis aligned nearly N and S (Campbell and Sandeman 1964).
