(NR 722 847) There is a very small rock shelter in low broken cliff scree. A hearth and various flints, now at Kilberry, were found 1960-2, The flints are a large scraper, knife, leaf-shaped arrowhead, flakes and chips, all Neolithic in date.

NR 723 847 - Several possible rock shelters are visible in the scree in this area. None can now be identified as having been occupied. The flints are still at Kilberry.

Field Visit (April 1987)
Excavations in a small rock-shelter 300m N of Dun Mhuirich (NR78SW 3) between 1960-2 revealed a hearth and a series of flints of Neolithic date, including a leaf-shaped arrowhead, a scraper and a knife, all of which are preserved at Kilberry Castle (Campbell and Sandeman 1964).

A small rock shelter is located in the cliff face close to the road. A hearth and various flints, now at Kilberry, were found 1960-62. The flints are a large scraper, knife, leaf shaped arrowhead, flakes and chips, all Neolithic in date. NMRS have identified several other possible rock shelters within the same cliff face.
