This shop has fittings dating from the 1890s. It was originally a veterinary pharmacy, then a general pharmacy until it became a pet supply retailer in the 1970s. This premises was recorded photographically for the National Record of the Historic Environment due to the now rare late single phase 19th century cabinetry in the front shop.
A single drawer cash box (still functional)by Gledhill of Halifax survived along with a wall mounted clock.
The owner was wishing to retire, hence the closure of the business.
