Activities

Field Visit (22 August 2017)

Nothing is visible in an area now occupied by playing fields of a World War Two barrage balloon anchoring site described in a document held by The National Archives at Kew (TNA AIR25/584). The site was one of an extensive network that protected the population and industry of central Glasgow and the Clyde from low flying enemy bombers.
