Field Visit (31 August 2016)
A small farmstead, part of Krakinish township (NG32SE 9) and comprising two conjoined buildings of blackhouse type and an enclosure to the E situated on an unnamed stream, has have been severely damaged by the construction of the road to the Kraiknish wireless station. The E building measures 5m from N to S by 2.5m transversely within a thick stone wall, but much of the W building (once larger than the other ) has been removed. Both buildings and the enclosure on recorded on a vertical aerial photograph taken in 1948 (CPE Scot, UK 372, 3145).
