Cairn (NR) (Site of) (NAT)

OS 6"map, Orkney, 2nd ed.,(1900).

A mound of burnt stones covered with rough pasture in 1879 (Name Book 1879). By 1928 the site had been under cultivation for many years, but the soil was thin and the farmer stated that he frequently had to remove large slabs of stone, but that he knew of nothing of unusual interest being found near it.

RCAHMS 1946, visited 1928.

No trace.

There is no trace of this mound, which the Name Book records as having been composed of burnt stones.
