Archaeology Notes

NR89NW 189 83641 95828

This enclosure has been recorded as a parchmark on oblique aerial photographs (RCAHMSAP 2010). It is circular in plan and defined by a ditch about 2.6m wide. The enclosed area is in 40.5m diameter with a 19m gap at the S and two pits. Two round barrows (NR 83719 95981) (NR 83689 96039) lie to the N of the main enclosure. There is also a block of rig and furrow orientated SW-NE, with a 9m spacing between furrows.
