NS05SE 68 09310 52206

This kelp kiln is situated 350m S of Garrochty Farm (NS05SE 36), where it has been set into the foot of the foot of a raised sea cliff. Subrectangular on plan, it comprises a trench measuring 6.1m from NNW to SSE by 3m in breadth and up to 0.4m in depth. The ENE side and the NNW end are defined by the cut into the slope but the WSW side is marked by and a low stony bank. The SSE end of the kiln is open.
