Archaeology Notes

NR97SE 94 99482 70583.

This cup-marked stone has been incorporated into the coping of a drystone dyke on the W side of a rough track 85m N of Kilmichael Cottage. It measures 0.3m by 0.25m and bears a single cup measuring 50mm in diameter and 10mm in depth.

Visited by RCAHMS (AGCH, GB) 16 June 2009.

The wall into which this cup-marked stone had been incorporated was accidentally knocked down in 2010. The stone has now been moved to Rothesay museum (NS06SE 122).
