Hawk Stone. A large whinstone boulder about 3ft high on which is cut the word 'Caledonia.'
OS Name Book 1860.
Traditionally the Hawk Stone is that upon which a falcon alighted so delimiting the lands of the Hays of Errol.

Field Visit (10 June 1964)
A large boulder 1.1m high and 4.3m in circumference at base. It has a smooth east side on which is cut the word 'Caledonia.'
