There is a stone circle called Druid's Temple, about a mile south from the hill of Beal (NO 203 273). It lies a short distance NW of the church of Kilspindie.
S Cowan 1904.
Field Visit (9 October 1963)
This feature could not be located during an extensive perambulation of the area NW of Kilspindie Church. Enquiries in Kilspindie revealed no knowledge of a stone circle in the locality.

Field Visit (23 August 1989)
Cowan (Cowan 1904) refers to a stone circle about a mile S of Beal Hill and 'a short distance from the church of Kilspindie' which lay to the SE. There is, however, no evidence of a stone circle in the area.
Visited by RCAHMS (JRS), 23 August 1989.
Desk Based Assessment (25 March 2021)
Cowan stated that this possible stone circle stood about a mile south of Beal Hill and a ‘short distance NW of the church at Kilspindie’. Given this evidence and taking the topography of the area into account it is possible to better define its probable location to a comparatively small area of ground extending to the east and SW from Balmyre farmsteading (NO22NW 82).
