Activities

Aerial Photographic Transcription (14 February 1987 - 11 March 1988)

An aerial transcription was produced from oblique aerial photographs. Information from Historic Environment Scotland (BM) 31 March 2017.

Aerial Photographic Interpretation (26 February 1993)

The cropmarks of two settlements of round-houses have been revealed by aerial reconnaissance on a gently-undulating ridge to the E and NE of Middlebank farmsteading.

Information from RCAHMS (JRS) 26 February 1993.

Aerial Photographic Interpretation (26 February 2014)

Following a review of the aerial photographs, the circle of pits recorded as cropmarking on aerial photographs is thought to represent the remains of a later prehistoric roundhouse belonging to an unenclosed settlement. As such the pit circle classification previously applied has been removed.

Information from RCAHMS (KMM) 26 February 2014

Aerial Photographic Transcription (21 December 2020)

An interpretative transcription, or mapping, of information on oblique aerial photographs was produced on 21 December 2020.
