Field Visit (2008)

NC27SE 50 centred 28600 70352

Two red 20ft transport containers have been airlifted onto peaty moorland beside a tributary of the Allt an Fhasaraidh Mhoir as targets within the Cape Wrath military training area (NC26NE 2). The SSW container (CWTC08 32; NC 28587 70289), lies on its side, its plywood floor intact, but its NW end is tipped down into the burn gully. The second container (CWTC08 31; NC 28612 70409) sits on level ground some 115m to the NNE.

(CWTC08 31 & 32)

Visited by RCAHMS (JRS, JH), 7 August 2008.
