Field Visit (2008)

NC37SW 27 32999 73049

What appear to be the remains of a round-ended building (CWTC08 308) are situated on broad grassy coastal terrace at the foot of the steep, NE flank of Cnoc Càrn an Léim. It measures about 11m from NW to SE by 6m transversely over a wall reduced to a broad grass-grown bank no more than 0.4m in height and there is an entrance on the NE.

Immediately to the NE of the building is a straight stony bank (CWTC08 307), measuring some 22m in length. A clearance cairn (CWTC08 310), measuring 4.5m from NW to SE by 2.1m transversely, is situated immediately SE. Two smaller clearance cairns (CWTC08 309 & 311) lie 40m SW and 95m NE respectively of the building.
