Field Visit (2008)
NC37SW 5 32475 70714
This drystone shelter stands on the SE flank of Sgribhis-bheinn (371m OD), a prominent steep-sided hill some 6km E of Cape Wrath. Rectangular on plan, it measures 3m from ENE to WSW by 1.8m transversely over walls now only 0.2m in external height. No entrance is apparent and its slab roof has collapsed. The shelter appears to be of comparatively recent build and may have been constructed as an observation post for use during gunnery and bombing exercises.
