Field Visit (2008)

NC37SE 9 35696 71068

This machine-gun emplacement is situated on the raised beach at Port Odhar, immediately N of where an un-named stream flows into the sea. A low wall of boulders has been constructed around the N, E and SE sides of a bomb- or shell-crater, which measures 3m in diameter and 0.6m in depth; a wooden log or old railway sleeper lines the S side.
