This pen is situated on the leading edge of a terrace on the S flank of Beinn an Duibh, a rocky massif on the W side of the Kyle of Durness which comprises a series of knolls and ridges interspersed with wet, peaty ground. It measures 1.8m in diameter over a drystone wall about 0.5m in thickness and 0.7m in height.
