This Ordnance Survey triangulation pillar is situated on the summit of Sgribhis-bheinn (371m OD), a prominent steep-sided hill some 6km E of Cape Wrath. The pillar (CWTC08 301) is constructed of mortared blocks of stone and measures 0.8m square at the base, tapering to a flat top at a height of 1.2m, where there is a brass mounting plate and retaining hoops for a theodolite. A brass flush bracket on the E side of the pillar bears the number S8757. The pillar stands on a grass-grown cairn (CWTC08 302), some 6.5m in diameter and 1m in height, and is enclosed by a crudely-built drystone wall (CWTC08 303), which has collapsed on the E.
