NO14SE 10 c. 19 44

In 1874, a polished ceremonial axe of 'green mottled stone resembling jadeite' was presented to the NMAS (Acc. No AF 56). It was found on the banks of the River Ericht in the parish of Rattray. Length 20.3cm., width 7.7cm., thickness 2.1cm. Classified as type Ia - thin and of lenticular section.
