A small knoll planted with a few trees. No further information.

No further information found. The knoll has been completely ploughed out.

This enclosure has been recorded as a cropmark on oblique aerial photographs (RCAHMSAP 2009). It is circular in plan and defined by a ditch about 1.76m wide. The enclosed area is 16.9m in diameter with a possible entrance 5.7m wide at the S. The N section of the enclosure ditch is not visible.

Field Visit (22 March 2023)

NO 12766 04016 This circular ditched enclosure feature is rumoured to be a gallows mound but may be a natural mound. It is recorded as a knoll planted with trees in 1854 but ploughed out entirely by 1963. It is visible as cropmarks in aerial photos from 2009. Not visible during the walkover survey.
