NR 896 312. A group of monuments near the 'Cashel' were investigated. These had been surveyed by R Mercer in 1976 and consist of 4 hut circles, 6 'clearance' cairns and c 2km of pre-peat field fences. A further monument, of unenclosed platform settlement type was noted by D J Breeze. The unenclosed platform settlement; a clearance cairn SW of it and a further cairn on the hilltop overlooking it were partially excavated and some 20 sections were cut through the field fences.
