Field Visit (10 January 1975)
At NO 0919 5434 is an oval stone-walled house measuring 14.0m N-S by 12.0m E-W between the centres of a strong wall spread to 4.0m, which increases slightly in width at the mutilated entrance in the S. There are one or two stone clearance heaps in the vicinity and traces of a probably contemporary field wall to the SE.
Surveyed at 1:10 000.

NO05SE 4 centred 0911 5441
Location formerly entered as NO 0919 5434.
At least three hut-circles and an enclosure are situated on a low spur on the N side of the burn draining Loch Charles. Short rickles of stone and depressions in the vicinity of hut-circles (2) and (3) may indicate the presence of other structures, and a scatter of irregularly shaped clearance heaps is also visible.
1. NO 0919 5433 The easternmost of the hut-circles is situated on the S side of the track 40m E of a stone dyke which cuts across the spur.
It measures 11m from N to S by 10.5m transversely within a stony bank up to 2.5m in thickness by 0.5m in height. Numerous large boulders protrude from the bank and some may belong to an inner or outer face. The entrance is on the S.
2. NO 0911 5441 There is a second hut-circle with an overall diameter of 11.8m, about 40m W of the stone dyke, on the N side of the track, its wall reduced to a scatter of stones no more than 0.2m high.
3. NO 0909 5442 Immediately WNW of hut-circle (2) there is a second in a similar state of preservation with an overall diameter of about 16m. 4. NO 0904 5443 On the N side of the track a further 50m to the WNW, there is a D-shaped enclosure which is probably of relatively recent date. Internally it measures 5.6m from N to S along the chord by 4.9m transversely and there is an oval tump about 0.2m high within the interior. The bank measures 1.7m thick by 0.3m high; six large boulders protrude along the outer edge and there is evidence that others have been removed. There is a gap in the bank at the S corner.
