Field Visit (21 April 1988)

NO05NE 90 0595 5586

The remains of three buildings are situated in an area of burnt-off heather about 690m SE of Pitcarmick Loch.

1. NO 0593 5586 The remains of this building measure 7.8m NE-SW by 4.1m over wall-footings 0.8m in thickness and 0.2m in height. The entrance is on the SE and there is a small pen attached to the SW end of the SE side.

2. NO 0595 5586 To the E of (1) there are the remains of a second building measuring 4m NE-SW by 3.2m over walls 0.5m in thickness and 0.2m in height; no entrance is visible.

3. NO 0593 5585 To the S of (1) there is a third building which measures 4m NNE-SSW by 3m over wall-footings 0.7m in thickness and 0.1m in height; no entrance is visible.
