HY42NW 9 417 273.

In theNational Museum of Antiquities of Scotland (NMAS) are the following finds from the farm of Nearhouse, Rousay, Orkney:- a polished quartsite axe, a brown flint knife and a leaf-shaped chert arrowhead. Presented by Mr Walter G Grant of Trumland. (Accession nos: AA 255; AB 2356-61, 2469-72, 2508; AD 2238; AF 870

Proc Soc Antiq Scot 1943; 1944 (Donations).

Nearhouse not known on Rousay. Possibly Nears at HY 4179 2737 or Newhouse at HY 397 280; otherwise no further information.
