Architecture Notes

A polychrome-brick three-storeyed block of industrial housing completed in 1860 to the design of William Lambie Moffat, built around a quadrangle with corner towers. Recorded in 2001 by RCAHMS because the demolition of neighbouring buildings briefly provided space to allow photographs to be taken of the full south frontage.

Information from RCAHMS

MKO 2001

The Rosemount buildings were one of the first housing schemes in Edinburgh to be built in brick rather than stone.
