Architecture Notes

NS56SW 39.23 c.5485 6375

Architect T S Tait F.R.I.B.A. A giant staircase lined with flowers led up to the building from the forecourt of the Palace of Engineering (NS56SW 39.03). The club contained a large ballroom, buttery, cocktail bar, lounge buffet and a roof garden tea-room. The view from the windows across the floodlit lake and other pavilions was reputedly one of the finest in the Exhibition.
