Archaeology Notes

NN50NW 2 centred 513 064.

A submerged artificial cairn of stones, similar to that seen by Hutchison at NN 5095 0660 (NN50NW 1), and which could be another crannog, is said to be situated a little to the E of it, and near the S shore of Loch Achray. Hutchison, however, did not see this one.

A F Hutchison 1879.

The only known underwater structure in Loch Achray is that described

on NN50NW 1.

Visited by OS 23 October 1968.
