Archaeology Notes

NN40SE 3 4571 0129.

A small stony island measuring 13.2m N-S by 12.0m transversely and rising 0.7m above the level of the loch. It is obviously artifical and is reputed locally to be a crannog (information from Miss M Dalziel, Tign-na-traigh, Aberfoyle). However, nothing was seen to positively identify it as such.

Visited by OS 14 May 1969.
