Area NN 115 098: "A slab with a couple of circles round a cup" was found by drainers near one of the two dykes running uphill from the main road just south of Garravon Bridge, and was built into the dyke to preserve it, but it cannot now be located.

Not located.

Visited by OS (R D) 5 May 1970.

Activities

Field Visit (April 1981)

A 'slab with a couple of circles round a cup' is said to be built into one of two dykes to the E of Stronshira, but neither Campbell and Sandeman (1964) nor Morris (1977) was able to locate it, and extensive examination of the field-walls on the date of visit was also unproductive.
