HY31NW 26 3033 1640.

A horseshoe-shaped mound of burnt material, suggestive of cooking refuse, covering an area 25 yds by 20 yds, lies 200 yds NW of Ballarat House.

Inspector Ancient Monuments file no.SC 23521/1A

HY 3033 1640. A turf-covered burnt mound, generally as described by the Inspector for Ancient Monuments, but measuring about 17.0m. in diameter and 1.0m. in height, situated in a pasture field adjacent to the Burn of Netherbrough, at about 50ft OD. A large depression extends from the NW side to the centre.
