Activities

Desk Based Assessment (7 July 2017)

West Lodge stands on the west bank of the River Clyde, S of Dalserf, and was built in 1861, as a gate-lodge with private bridge (NS85SW 39) to the now demolished Maudslie Castle (NS85SW 56), some 500m to the east across the Clyde. The lodge is gothic detailed with two storeys and a raised basement. It is built of polished cream sandstone ashlar and has crow-stepped gables.

Information from HES Survey and Recording (AMcC) 7 July 2017.
