Desk Based Assessment (15 June 2017)
These warehouses, depicted on the OS 1:500 Town Plan of Port Glasgow (1856 Sheet II.11.10), consist of a larger NE block with three wide segmental arched openings facing the West Quay (NS37SW 150), Port Glasgow, and a smaller block on the SE. The larger probably started life in the early 19th century as a single-storey warehouse, with another storey added in the second half of the century.
