NS66NW 360 6408 6603.

Just to the W of this bridge, known as Jessie's Bridge, were the Gartcraig Fireclay Works. The bridge was situated near Ruchazie village.

This bridge, carrying a minor road over the canal, is clearly marked as Gartcraig Bridge on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Lanarkshire 1864, sheet vii) and as Jessie's Bridge on the 2nd edition of the OS 6-inch map (Lanarkshire 1899, sheet viiNW). The Gartcraig Fireclay Works are clearly marked on the 2nd edition map, to the NW of the bridge.
