Field Visit (5 June 1968)

No trace and no local knowledge of a burnt mound 100 yards SW of Biggings, but at HT 9649 3705 are the badly mutilated remains of a burnt mound, possibly that referred to by RCAHMS.

Desk Based Assessment (1968)

(Area HT 962 370) A mound of burnt stones lies about 100 yards SW of the crofter's house at Biggings. A cist-like cavity is said to have been discovered here.
