OS 6" map, (1938)

A tumulus containing bones, stood near the sea below Craigmills (now Glenglassaugh Distillery) It was defaced about 1801 when the limekiln standing near it was erected.

Name Book 1866.

A slight mutilated grassy knoll exists at the site of the cairn.

Visited by OS (WDJ) 19 September 1961.
