Miller & Lang Print Works, 46-50 Darnley Street, 1901, John Gordon and D Bennet Dobson

Figure of Minerva above larger corbelled bay, stone carved enrichments and unusual lead griffin rainwater collector. Sinuous with Art Nouveau details on doors in elliptical arched entry. Stair and corridor decorated with figured mosaic floors and enamelled wall panels. Original richly decorated first-floor office, with wonderful flowing Art Nouveau leadwork enclosing exotic stained-glass coloured figures, W G Morton. D W Sturrock joined the firm in 1902 and designed the plainer warehouses next door and at 49-53 Forth Street in 1903.
