In a small cairn opened in 1842 was found an urn containing calcined bones and a Middle Bronze Age razor (now in Marischal College Museum, Aberdeen - Accession no. 248).

New Statistical Account (NSA) 1845; J Gillan 1863; Name Book 1865; W D Simpson 1943; J M Coles 1966.

No trace remains of this cairn.

Field Visit (16 July 1943)

This site was included within the RCAHMS Emergency Survey (1942-3), an unpublished rescue project.
