Note (2 May 2018)

Four memorials removed from former Glasgow Corporation tram depots (Whitevale, Langside, Dennistoun and Newlands) were relocated to Parkhead Depot. Until 2010 these memorials were located in a small memorial garden next to the northern boundary wall adjacent to Tollcross Road.

The largest of the memorials from Whitevale Depot, a free standing granite column arch, was removed when Whitevale Depot closed (in 1922) to Parkhead Depot by 1924, when the King laid a wreath. The other memorials were plaques which were embedded into the brick walls.

The bus depot closed after 2010 and the memorials have been removed for safe keeping by Glasgow City Council. It is hoped that the memorials will be re-erected.

The Parkhead depot buildings have been demolished.
