Accessing Scotland's Past Project

Situated by the Vattich Burn, the Braes of Glenlivet Distillery, also known as Braeval Distillery, was built in 1973 by the Seagram Company.

The distillery was designed to be of traditional appearance, its many buildings having white harled exteriors and slated roofs. The single most notable feature of the distillery is the cupola roof of the still house which contains three stills, each with the distinctive bulge in the neck known as a Milton Ball. Most of the malt whisky produced here is used for creating blends.
