Standing Building Recording (16 January 2023)
NJ 18033 60238 AOC Archaeology Group was commissioned to undertake an historic building survey of Miltonduff Dovecot.
Miltonduff Dovecot comprises a single-storey, rectangular lectern dovecot built in the late 17th or early 18th century. The building survives in a reasonable condition though it has been subject to alterations, particularly to the roof and the interior features. It was restored in 1970, during which time the roof was replaced. The Dovecot is thought to be the only surviving, upstanding remains of Milntoun Brodie manor house, which had been demolished by the mid-19th century.
