A barrier of scaffolding situated on the beach to the S of the mouth of the Lunan Water. Constructed from steel scaffolding tubes between high and low tides.
J Guy 2000; NMRS, MS/810/9.
Examination of vertical air photographs (106G/Scot/UK 128, Pt.III, 6177-6188, flown 25 June 1946), would suggest that this structure may be the remains of a pre-war fish-trap. Several fish-traps have been noted from aerial photographic cover off-shore along the whole length of Lunan Bay.
Information from RCAHMS (DE), October 2005.
