A township, comprising twelve roofed buildings, one unroofed building, one unroofed circular structure annotated 'Kiln' and five enclosures is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Buteshire 1868, sheet ccxxxvii). Four roofed buildings, one unroofed building and four enclosures are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1979).
