Field Visit (14 October 1996)

See also NN81NE 76.

In rough pasture to the NE of Pirnhill Plantation there are a field-bank, a trackway and some rig. The trackway cuts through the Roman road (NN81NE 76) from NW to SE as a hollow way, and a short distance to the NE a field-bank rides over the road on the same alignment.

An expanse of narrow straight rig (3m to 4m in width) was also observed to the E of the bank running down the N-facing slope.

Visited by RCAHMS (PJD), 14 October 1996.
