This mill, which has been considerably altered from its orignal condition, has been fully recorded by the County Planning Department. Visited 8 August 1965.

A Graham 1965-6.

This horse engine house is noted as being preserved.

Site Management (13 October 2011)

3 rubble support walls, pantiled roof with horizontal timber tie-beams and central millpost cockerel finial, part of farm steading.

Andrew Meikle of East Linton (1719-1811) who worked in Dunbar, perfected such horsemills in 1786. (Historic Scotland)
