Field Visit (9 September 1930)

Steatite Workings, Houjlie and Strandburgh.-Circles and hollows left by the removal of blocks of steatite, as at Catpund, Cunningsburgh (HU42NW 1), can be observed at various places on the rocks forming the faces of the steep sea-cliffs near the Dammins and Clemmel Geos, Houbie, and at Strandburgh (HU69SE 3). Cf. also HU27NE 14.
