Architecture Notes

Advertisement in Edinburgh Courant, January 20th 1852

No. 12 Moray Place, built for the Proprietor according to the plans and under the inspection of Mr. Burn. This is perhaps the most commodious house in Edinburgh. It has not only two gully lighted sunk storeys, but a large building of two storeys behind, in which are the Kitchen, Offices, and Servant's Rooms. The Library, from the construction of the house, is the largest room of any kind in any house in Edinburgh. 2/3rd of feu duty redeemed. To be sold without fixtures. Apply Mr. Trotter, 9 Princess Street, or to Hope, Oliphant and MacKay, WS, 119 Princess Street.

15th January 1852
