Field Visit (18 May 1995)

This C-shaped burnt mound, which is partially covered by gorse, is situated beside a dry gully on the S flank of Cnoc Dubh and just N of the track to Upper Morness. It measures 8.6m from N to S by 7.4m transversely and 0.6m in height, opening out to the E. Cracked stone and black soil are visible in burrows into the mound.
