A heavy anti-aircraft battery and military camp, which have now been demolished, were situated in an area immediately W of Parkhead house. The battery possibly consisted of three gun-emplacements with a GL mat (radar false horizon hexagon) around the radar installation to the S. The accommodation camp to the NW, was next to the road.

This demolished World War II heavy anti-aircraft battery is situated in a field to the W of High Barracks, Rosneath Farm. An area of rough ground marks the site of the gun positions.
The battery was armed with 4 3.7-inch guns.
