A heavy anti-aircraft battery and military camp, which have now been demolished, were situated in an area immediately W of Parkhead house. The battery possibly consisted of three gun-emplacements with a GL mat (radar false horizon hexagon) around the radar installation to the S. The accommodation camp to the NW, was next to the road.

Information from RCAHMS (DE) July 1997

This demolished World War II heavy anti-aircraft battery is situated in a field to the W of High Barracks, Rosneath Farm. An area of rough ground marks the site of the gun positions.

The battery was armed with 4 3.7-inch guns.
